Hi all
I was just meandering around the near Bubble in the Pleiades Sector and the Taurus Dark Region, and I happened to jump into Ross 374.
Empty system, lots of lovely things to scan, and for some weird reason an Unregistered Comms Beacon.
So I went to look, it was just circling around a planet. I took a deep breath with finger poised over the boost escape button just in case it was a nefarious trap, and dropped out into its locale.
And yep, it was just a lonely old Unregistered Comms Beacon. Seemingly in the middle of nowhere.
Thought it was curious, but is this sort of thing common out there? Seems like a funny thing to have nowhere near any people.
Anyway, out in that whole Taurus area I did see these Anomaly USS warnings (Threat 4) and decided not to drop into them as I had a ton of explore data, but now I read up about them I probably should have been brave enough!
PS Pioneer sure is huge! 30m data made only a 15% increase, so wow!
