Rotating screen view - Boot Camp Mac

Hi guys

This is my first post I literally got the Alpha a couple of hours ago so go easy on me!

I'm using Boot Camp on my Macbook Pro and even with an external USB apple mouse, and cannot for the life of me work out how to rotate the screen even after looking through the control settings. I realise this is probably because I'm not using a regular PC mouse (which I will invest in) but wondered if:

1) There is a keyboard command for screen rotate as there is for flying forward and backwards etc
2) If there isn't a keyboard command, does anyone have an idea of how to do this with either built in trackpad (scrolling and right click enabled), or Mighty Mouse and/or Magic Mouse (pls don't hate me!)
3) What's the easiest way of moving around the park at people level in general - all you guys on youtube make it look so easy and seamless, when I try I'm crashing into walls etc.
4) In graphic options s the "vertical Sync" the same as anti alias? I don't see an option for anti alias and even with vertical sync on I still see a bit of tearing when moving about quickly - this may be something I need to activate manually in the Nvidia pref pane, I just didnt want to go fiddling too much with the GPU settings as I know jack about windows and PC setups and really don't want to screw it up as its working OK at the moment.

I know mac in boot camp is far from ideal setup for this game, but its all I have to work with (at the moment). I'm seriously considering getting a gaming machine just to play Planet Coaster on!

Thanks for all your help guys!

Hi Eejanaika,

1) Have you tried using the 'Q' and 'E' buttons on your keyboard? They are intended to rotate the camera when using the standard camera view (not free view). You can toggle free camera view with the 'T'. You can move the camera with the W, A, S and D.
2) See answer 1.
3) You'll have to see that for yourself. Try using both camera views by toggling between them with 'T'. You also may want to try different settings in the Camera settings of the game.
4) VSync / Vertical Sync is not the same as anti aliasing. Vertical Sync is intended to reduce screen tearing, like you have said. Anti-aliasing is currently not available as a single setting from within the game.

You may be able to override the game graphics settings using the Nvidia control panel, but do so on your own risk. Your computer may become unstable, the game may crash, or it may work just fine, but that depends on how your specific computer runs the game.

Thank you for using the Planet Coaster forums! [happy]

There is currently an incomplete version of first person camera, it's under construction so its not that great yet and the only way to access it is through the games "cheat" system. In the build menu you should see a magnifying lens icon for the in-game search feature, type into the box "tegidcam" and hit enter. Now you can walk around at ground level using WASD and QE like a park guest.

I also recommend getting a multi-button mouse. I don't know if they have them for macs or why macs are so stubborn about a one button mouse, but I personally use a 6-button programmable mouse for gaming. Most PCs come with a standard 2-button mouse (plus wheel obviously) but sometimes the extra buttons come in handy, like I have one button designated for undo (Ctrl+Z together) as one of my mouse buttons. Seriously a must have for gaming.

Hi there thanks for the advice - I tried the keys and at first they didn't work but I reset one of my drivers and then everything worked fine. I also looked at the control settings and with an older mouse that I have am able to rotate by scroll clicking and now have the hang of the interface.

Good to know about the VSync thanks very much! Still getting to grips with the game there is a lot to be getting on with!

Cheers
