Route filter but no Waypoint function?

I like the look of a lot of the forthcoming update (Don't mention 3D printing!!!) but am I right in thinking that route planner doesn't allow you to add a waypoint? If not, it seems weird that you can choose to filter by Government/State/Star type etc but you can't say, I want to travel via there. :-/


Would this not be a relatively easy and useful addition to include?

Waypoints have been asked for a fair bit, and I for one would like to see them implemented properly...in the meantime my want was partially satiated by bookmarks...I can plot a route out with those.
