is there a way to plan your own route star by star (in order which you desire) when doing exploration ? if not so wouldn't that be an nice addition to the game?

Yeah, being able to click 2 or more stars and have it automatically plot a course along them as you go would be very nice for sightseeing. Good for "search pattern" sector mapping too, looping back and forth along a predefined flight path.
Agreed. What would also be useful is being able to annotate the galaxy map with hazards at the jump point. Like that pesky white dwarf that is right in your face when you pop out of FSD!
