Route Plotter not using neutron stars.

My in game route plotter just avoids neutron stars even when I am 500ly below galactic plane where there are PLENTY of them to make a good route. I am on my way to SAG-A but my route planner, no matter the settings will avoid neutron stars. I changed "use jet boost" but it avoids them either way. I changed star types to ONLY jet cones (non sequence and white dwarfs) and there is CLEARLY a path for me to use but planner will not use them. I checked "apply filter to route" on and off but no change. I am obviously having a problem or bug.

It's been over three days since I last had a neutron star pop up on my route. Currently working north in the Formidine Rift and I'm sure there are neutrons about but as you say, the planner is ignoring them.

This has been a problem for years.I tried to plot White Dwarfs only routes economic route and despite loads of them in the area failed to plot-even if you plot 1 jump 3ls away!

I've been having this problem the past few days as well. What I've been doing to work around it is to filter out everything but the neutrons, white dwarfs, and the first blue-class star, sometimes adding in the second blue to make sure I'm not zoomed out too far. I then look for a neutron and plot a route there, adding in scoopables as needed. Once I'm there and boosted up I plot to my final destination and once it's done plotting the jumps I can see the route is hitting some JCB stars along the way.

The main problem with this is if I go back to the galaxy map, it wants to plot a new route. The new route it makes avoids the JCB stars again. Though I was plotting routes with over 100 jumps earlier. I'm less than 50 right now to my final destination. I'm hoping that with less stars between me and my destination the less this issue happens.

@proto - may be worth a shot for a shorter journey but the problem with manual plotting is that the time taken to work the map is probably more than the saving achieved.

Wonder if this needs flagging as a bug to FDev, whether there has been a silent code update in the last few days which has caused the problem?

If they broke something, it would probably have happened on Thursday, since that's when they do the server maintenance, and that's when this thread started too. I think I did my last neutron routing on Wednesday, and it was working at the time.

I dont think its broken Im out exploring on my main account and havent ran into any neutron stas/white dwarfs/black holes in a few thousand light years. i am not looking for jet cones though.

I did a lot of neutron jumping last night. I have all star types selected, and just use Jet Cone boost. As I'm near the core, around 70% of the stars I jumped to were neutron.

What I find interesting is that if you replot your route every few jumps (by deselecting jet cone boost, then enabling it again) then you can often save another few jumps. Though this quite regularly goes the other way too, and you gain a few!
