route plotter suggestion after Super charging your drive.

given the super fuel scooped from the corona of the neutron star "only" gives us, 300% is it? (I am fine with this btw)

a lot of the time saved is lost mucking around with the route planner.

I wonder how much work it would be to have an option in the route planner to automatically replot the route we have plugged in taking into account the increased jump range? if its too much work, perhaps it could auto just remove as many of the jump points it can from the existing route and not replot the entire route.

Last statement on such features was that route planning requires the galaxy map to be open.

thats unfortunte but as i suggested at the very least perhaps it could look at the existing route and consider

Can i make next jump +1 of the existing route? if yes can i make next jump + 2 of the existing route? if yes can i make jump +3 of the existing route? if no, make next jump +2

obviously i am no coder ;) but if it is impossible (without a lot of work) to replot the route perhaps the above is easier?.

Yes, this thought has occured to me as well.

I even considered posting something like this in the Suggestions forums, but never got around to it.
See what the general consensus is and perhaps later on ask to move this thread to Suggestions.

I did something like that a while ago about the Galaxy Map showing explored systems...

If the final destination is within range of the super charge it does replot a route into a single jump upon opening the map.

If not it isn't too hard to skip 2/3 systems ahead, select and jump there. The route will continue without opening the map again.

What is this supercharge? Just scooping up fuel from certain stars? Or interacting with these new jets?

It's essentially scooping from particle jets.
