I think it would be good if you could have some favourites in your route planner just like a car sat nav has pre set routes to places like your home, recent journeys etc. Recent journeys would be handy for trading/community goals (especially when your desired location is not showing in your navigation panel....save you going into the galaxy map)

With the way the Galaxy Map works it has to be open for plotting to happen as the data required isn't loaded when you are not in the map.
At least that's the reason given previously for why we couldn't just plot to bookmarks from the side panels.

Thats a pitty. My 20 quid TomTom can do it but my 50000Cr Starship can't. Rubbish ��
