General / Off-Topic Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In

People of a certain age will remember the American comedy series "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In" for it's colourful appearance (colour TV was not widespread in the UK at the time, 1969 ) and the zany humour. The other day I stumbled across it on Amazon Prime Video - all six series are free to watch if you have Prime.

Episode 1 (the pilot show) is poor technical quality but the rest seem to be a nice bit of nostalgia for my age-group I think. (Presented in "Living Colour" by NBC LOL )

Say goodnight "shortened name of Richard" (that the nanny filter blanks)...

'Goodnight "shortened name of Richard" (that the nanny filter blanks)'

If I remember correctly, it was a bit 'risky'. Naughty things said and done, with the female co-host? Maybe not for today's P.C. psycho audiences.

My dad used to refer to it, back in the 70s. Strange really, because after 1973, we did not have a T.V. in the house.

Best part of Laugh-In was Goldie Hawn at 18 years old, dancing around in a teeny bikini, her (fantastic) body decorated all over with body-paint and her ditzy-blond act.

Thank you. It was a staple on my NBC station.
