Any enthusiasts in and around London might be interested in this.
The Royal Observatory at Greenwich in London has a working observatory for the first time since its observations were moved to Herstmonceux in Sussex in the 50's.
The instrument cluster sits in the Altazimuth Pavillion (but is on a polar mount) and the team say: "To help out with the running of the telescope the observatory is looking to teams of volunteers, many of whom are likely to come from local enthusiasts’ clubs."
