Rudder pedals

How do you pros set these up. I am still waiting for my x55 to arrive but my combat pedals have arrived. Assigned yaw to the rudder part (the slides?) but they seem reversed and it's all or nothing.
What do you use the stops for? I tried these for yaw as well, slightly better with the all or nothing assignment.

....all the gear.......no idea.......

Did you assign yaw axis? Or yaw right and left. In the first case you have analogue controls - the right way, otherwise you have digital controls - i.e. all or nothing.

I also have Saitek Combat Pedals but given X55's 3-axes (pitch, roll and yaw for me), I have assigned lateral and vertical thrust for the pedals. However, I am using UJR via vJoy for the pedals as it is the only way to set toe brakes to vertical thrust as analogue control. The problem is that toe pedals are two different axes and I am using 3rd party software to merge them into one axis. You can also set sensitivity curve for the pedals in UJR.

thanks alec for the info. I am using a ps3 controller atm until the x55 arrives. I was wondering whether some of you guys used the thrusters on the pedals and twist for yaw.

Elite has plane-like flight. I suspect you really want to have yaw on the pedals. (I have my stick and throttle, still waiting for the pedals)

you assign strafe up and down to toe brakes for easier VTOL maneuvers at landing and also dogfighting

if the yaw axis is reversed there is a checkbox to fix this AFAIK

This, if its reversed use the checkbox. I had to do the same for my joystick too, very hard to fly with everything reversed.
