An idea I had lastnight. Not sure if it's been brought up yet. As much as I would LOVE mixed eras at the very least in sandbox, I DO understand why it hasn't happened (yet) for gameplay reasons. But what if we could use the damaged versions of the JP era buildings simply as scenery objects in JW era. No need for power or pathways. No stats or staffing options. Just damages buildings we could place down like the rocks and trees. And while we're talking about it, how about broken down JP vehicles too for scenery. Seems like it would be pretty easy since all these models already exist in game and it would just be a matter of making them accessible from the different era as scenery objects. The only "new" idea I had was the wreckage of the plane from JP3. I reckon that would make a nice addition to a spinosaurus enclosure.

There is also that broken down water truck from JP3 that kid was living in. Maybe even add some dilapidated houses and shacks so we can make a workers village?
