There is a thread going over at the iracing forums where someone tried the following:
Go to: \Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-client and right click the oculusclient.exe. Choose the compatibility tab and check run as administrator.
When running iracing this happened to me: 1. when running Iracing in oculus rift Oculus home did not start as it usually does. 2. Iracing crashed after 10 minutes or so (might be my overclock though). 3. It seemed smoother?
I tried running elite dangerous as well and this happened: 1. Oculus home did not start. 2. The game seemed smoother.
Now, having used the rift for a while I'm fully aware that changes like this can purely placebo. I have to go to bed now and will see if I can measure overhead tomorrow and also see if the crash in Iracing was because of my overclock (seems unlikely though).
Anyways, if anyone care to test and report their findings that would be awesome.
