Hi, I have a few questions with regard to running Horizons that has always bothered me so I thought I would finally ask. When I run the Elite Dangerous launcher I have the following options for launching the game:-
.
My current hardware (dx10 video card) is not compatible with running horizons and is confirmed by a message I get when I launch the horizons client. However, even though I am told I cannot run horizons the client still runs without a problem. So what is going on here? Does the 2.1 Horizons client downgrade itself to effectively run as if it was the 1.6 client due to compatibility problems? Or is planetary landings the only feature that is disabled?
.
What other features apart from planetary landings are omitted from the 1.6 client? How does not being able to land on a planets surface affect the new crafting system?
.
In summary - I have Horizons and it does run but I am locked out of planetary landings and I am just trying to figure out what I can and cannot do in-game. Any advice would be welcome.
