Running out of fuel

Hi Guys,

Hope someone can help. Ive been steadily getting to grips with the game, but seem to be struggling with the concept of fuel. i have been completing the courier jobs from Eranin to Dahan with no problems. But I recently purchased some commodities to sell. When i undocked and tried to jump to the destination, it told me that I di not have enough fuel for the jump.
Now I appreciate that with the added cargo, my ship is heavier and would need more fuel, but is there a way of showing how far I can jump with the cargo being carried? I have noticed that in the Galaxy map and navigation, there is a slider for cargo, but it doesn't seem to show any clear idea of how far I can go.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi ,Easiest way is to check bulletin board in station and look for merc contracts while fully loaded that should give you a fairly accurate distance you can travel.Gal map slider isnt too accurate when kiited out and loaded up :)

If there are no lines connecting your star system to another on the galaxy map, you can't jump there. Simple as that. All your current weight is being considered.

I read that when you completely run out of fuel (so not just that you don't have enough to jump) you'll get some assistance.

In the navigation tab in the galqxy map, there is a slider at the bottom.

With this you can ad waight to the jump calculations the map makes.

If you set it to add the waight of your intended cargo you will then only see the lines betwean the systems you can jump to with that ammount of cargo.
