There's a chance though that the artists just copied photos of the trains for X2 without any consideration of real world functionality, I wouldn't read too much into it tbh.

I agree to thaat, but at the same time it was announced in one of the livestreams that onboard audio was under consideration.
So it might go both way's indeed. Hopefully in the stream about music this will be answered
Im not too sure about that. We have seen the level of detail Frontier have gone into with every aspect of ride functionality. The hydraulic rams, the wheel under the pirate boat, and even writing on bolts on the coaster supports.
I dont think this is something that would have been over looked.
I think they will be lights. But i really hope they are speakers.
