Sabotaging Thargoid Spires Explained in Two Minutes

there are missions?! were these announced somewhere that i missed?
Wasn't announced, but they started appearing after the latest Galnet about Palin manufacturing contaminated spire refinery compounds.

Imo it was a missed opportunity to include on-foot materials into the reward choices.

wasnt there supposed to be pilots federation alert in galnet when theres an ingame content to interact with?
didnt palins galnet explicitly say that he needs more time and more mats to make anything useful?
did fdev accidentally release something way sooner again?
am i getting a dent in the forehead from all the facepalms since joining ed? :p

Possibly.

Who says this is going to be useful?

Possibly but how tall are you compared to the doors in your life?

No time for whining - you're two days behind! Watch the guide and go do some missions! And watch out for the door handles!

Nope.

"Pilots Federation Alert" is what differentiates Galnet articles that are just "some side fiction" from Galnet articles that have related in-game content.

So "Pilots Federation Alert" means "Something to go do"... but "something to go do" != "Pilot's Federation Alert"

It was a direct result of the outcry over Gan Romero, a piece of "side fiction" with no related in-game activity which led to this... i.e a way to distinguish galnet fiction from actionables, not to announce new actionables.
