You may have to work in the service industry in an entry level position if there's no work in your field.
Your priority should be to get employed, even in the service industry. If you have any friends that owe you favors now's the time to collect. If you have to couch surf, it hurts the pride but you can make it up to yourself and your friends once you have momentum. Deny yourself anything that costs money other than the basics. Prepare for the worst and make sure you have a sleeping bag and some luggage to carry your essentials. In Canada we have a robust social safety net that helps a lot of people, as long as they tuck their tail between their legs and jump through the hoops. Not sure if that's any kind of option in Latvia. When you can afford principles, be principled. Until then, be pragmatic. Keep an eye on the horizon for a better future. Know that you'll be discouraged but the discouragement will pass if you stay proactive.
