Safari Planet / Planet Safari IP - will it be used on earthlike worlds

So i see frontier have the IP for planet safari ( im wondering if this project will also have uses in the eventual earthlike / waterworld atmospheric ) type of planets for flora and fauna. Its going to be years before that is upon us, but has anyone seen any DBOE or frontier comments around plan for this IP that frontier own

There are some old videos of Mr. Braben from the kickstarter and early design phase saying how wonderful it would be to land on an earth-like world and go on a safari hunt. One can assume the idea is still just as wonderful and that it's still on the wish-list. One can also assume they've looked at what NMS have done and are aiming to do better than that.

I'm still wondering how they'll be allowing landing on an uninhabited planet and go hunting for big game, while at the same time disallowing landing on Earth (or some other high-population planet) and going full carmageddon on the inhabited cities. Since I assume they'd want to encourage the first, but very much discourage the second.
