Sag A* halfway there (I think)

I set out June 17, been meandering since I left the North American Nebula.
Heading "north" but on the "west" side of Sag A*, I've been spending time plotting star by star, and not in 1000LY chunks, as there are many WD, and neutrons before the neutron field even officially starts.
If, as I recollect, Sag A* is 25800LY north of SOL, then I'm about halfway there, as I crossed the 13000 grid mark last night.
It's a long haul when you plot system-by-system jumps.

I always read references about the core, do you know (approx) how far outward from Sag A* it extends? 100LY? 2000LY?

I'm just heading home from my pilgrimage to Sag A. I'd say I started having problems plotting from around 2000ly out. I would call the core the whole brightly lit area at the centre of the galaxy though. Good luck!

Percentage there = distance from sol divided by (distance from sol plus distance from Sgr A) multiplied by 100.

This was the metric I used, taking a loopy trip to Sgr A via a neutron field.
