Sag A - What's hides below the event horizon?

Question for any of you Explorers who've visited Sag A:

Has anyone taken the plunge into the darkness?

If so, what happened?

Is it just filled with bookshelves?

No, black holes do not connect to L-space. But every library in the multiverse does. :)

A black hole is not a hole in space, as the name would imply. There's no way to "fly into one". If you get too close, you just get added to its mass.

No, you don't heat up and die when you enter a black hole! You used to, but not any more. You can go inside it and see some trippy effects, but that's about it. More is to come in the future.

(Video is not mine) Proof that you don't heat up and explode:

So sure you are, have been there you must....... Fly into one you can, fly out is the challenge.

I did want to try and make the "delete character" button just hyperspace your ship into a black hole... Schedules said no though!

Should be the other way round: Flying into a black hole immediately deletes your character! Now, THIS would give explorers a reason to fear those galactic monsters...

I went through the event horizon and was ejected into a parallel universe where Elite: Dangerous was only a video game. Terrified, I carjacked the first flying DeLorean I came across, spun up the Mr. Fusion, and re-calibrated the flux capacitor for 3301AD. Fortunately, this time period was similar enough to my home universe that I was able to find a hyperspace capable vessel, return to Sagittarius A*, and return from whence I came.

Now, I'm rapidly approaching Sol, but I have an sinking feeling that when I arrive I will find a planet of apes.

Of course, this could all just be the space dementia talking.
