A trip to Sagittarius A* comparison using values from two Buckyball runs the first in an Adder was done prior to the release of 2.3 the second run in an Imperial Clipper which was completed before 2.3 but the return trip was completed after.
Adder run
Total number of systems visited on way there 940
Total number of systems visited on the way back 1008
Systems visited both times 119
Total profits from exploration including first finds 49,055,091
Imperial Clipper Run
Total number of systems visited on way there prior to 2.3 1014
Total number of systems visited on the way back prior to 2.3 117
Total number of systems visited on the way back after 2.3 940
Systems visited both times 108
Profits from exploration not including first finds 138,018,011
Total profits from exploration including first finds 188,557,808
Notes
Normally planets will only have been scanned if not first discovered tag was present in the system at the time of visit
Scan data taken from journal entries using EDDiscovery
Both ships were equipped with Advanced Discovery Scanners and Detailed Surface Scanners
Normally the main star in each system will be scanned, planets will be scanned if an Earth Like World, Water World or Ammonia World is present in the system.
Systems with Earth Like Worlds are normally fully scanned
The adder run is the most profitable run where I went out and came straight back, the other runs I did like that made around thirty million credits some of the difference with those run is probably down to the use of the map filter
During the run I will ping the system after I reach Sagittarius A* I will then check the systems that I went through to see if there any Ammonia, Earth Like or water worlds that have not been scanned and then visit them on the way back.
