Sagittarius A

I made it, finally

Congratulations, good job. Now of course you have to get back.

I was there a few days ago and have another 16kly to go, so far, so good (he says with misplaced optimism).

Best if you don't waste too much time looking at the pretties
In ABlueNebula.Jpg

Or playing with the black holes (especially on 72% hull)

It's not a myth as you have alluded to yourself in your own comment.

It's a good tip for explorers and a good habit to get into if you are out there.

The myth that I referred to is throttling back during the countdown... You don't have to do that, you can achieve the exact same thing throttling back once you have identified the star on exit from witchspace.

Anyway, each to their own

I can do 1000 light years in one game session without breaking a sweat. You're that close, just go for it.

I took a long break from the game - my own journey has resumed. Still 10k to go myself.

Even so, it's not a myth really as it can serve a purpose if done then.

Safe travels CMDR.
