Saitek Controllers feedback / help

I have an X52 Pro and love it! But, although I have been using it for 9 months it is starting to fail. Two buttons/triggers (5 & 6) no longer work, and whilst I have got a replacement stick from Madcatz (took a month to arrive) it is an X52 not a Pro, so is still in the box whilst I await an answer from Madcatz support about what to do (another 3 weeks without reply to my mails).

Last night something in the Throttle seems to have broken, so it clicks and no longer has the full range of throttle control. It's a lovely stick, but hasn't lasted that well under relatively light use ( I am not a afighter :))

Some people have used adhesive Velcro to attach it to the desk. Alternatively you can buy sucker pads from Amazon with an M4 nut embedded into it and then use an M4 bolt to fix them to the stick. Why they decided to remove the suckers I will never know!

Or something like this

Cant :) I have to pack it away after every session as its also my workstation.

You need to creative like me. Mine is screwed down to one of those "under the keyboard" shelves. Not only does it make it all one piece it also makes it rock solid stable.

My X52 Pro has done a bit over a month now, and still as new... I'm hoping it proves to be one of the better units, but if it does start playing up I won't be surprised.
The lack of choice is what's allowing the Mad Catz era Saitek sticks to keep selling despite their shoddy quality control.

I would like to thank everyone again for your input and I have to say that my conclusion is that I was somewhat unlucky but not much - Saitek quality control seems to be pretty crappy. I also went into this thread to read about the X55 https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=14153 and I am really glad I read more than the first page - you can see that as the Rhino gets more usage it tends to break pretty fast and the pictures of the wires at the end of the thread speak for themselves.

So I bit the bullet and spent the money. Warthog is incoming and for its price I hope to pass it trough generations :p

My X52 had a similar problem except it was drift to the left.

Unplugged it, removed and reloaded the drivers (latest from the Saitek site) been fine ever since.

My problem was actually mechanical, I could get around it by configuring a small dead zone but in a 3 week old piece of equipment I felt I should not need to do it and just returned it.
