I just got a set of Saitek Logitech G pro flight rudder pedals to go with my Thrustmaster T16000m FCS Hotas. I set the mappings of the pedals main function to yaw and the left and right toe brakes to lateral thrust as shown.

I set mine for FA off and boost, controlling vertical thrusters sounds like a good use too 
This is much more like flying.
