Hardware & Technical Saitek problems

More, more, more of the same.

My machine locked up last night. It went completely bleargh and I had to do a hard reboot. When the desktop came back my Elite Dangerous X52 profile had become corrupted - no problem; I keep backups - and the profile editor would not launch. Big problem.

I was using the Win10 beta software at the time, as the old software didn't work at all. Now though, even with a clean install as detailed here: http://madcatz.kayako.com/Knowledge...aitek-hotas-beta-drivers-and-software-release

Now even the old driver/software combo has the same issue. I'm tearing my hair out - without the X52, I simply cannot play. Has anybody had similar issues, and how did you fix them? Any bright ideas from people who haven't had similar problems? Or words of encouragement from those without bright ideas?

Also have an x52. Thankfully no issues so far. I'm still using the original driver from the disc, as I heard back in 2014 that there were issues with the newer drivers not working. So...I'm one of the guys without bright ideas here to offer you moral support. You've done everything I would have done in your case. Hope you get a solution somewhere.

I did what saitek said in the link you posted here and from september my x52pro is working, win 10.

I only want to know when they will release some non beta drivers, if they will do.

I have some of the same symptoms. I upgraded to the beta driver. While it fixes some of the mouse nub issues it does lock up my system almost everyday. I am on win10 and never had the lockup problems until installation of this beta driver. I am sure saitek will get it sorted eventually, I hope. LOL

They don't really seem to know what is up with their drivers and software at the moment. I have been in contact with support and they have just told me to do a clean install of Windows 10 because their old drivers/software have not been totally removed even by following their instructions and is causing conflict with the new set. Long story short, regular crashes, stick buttons not working and massive amounts of ghost inputs.

I'm doing my clean install later today :(

I got a second hand X52 from a mate simply because it no longer worked on his new Win10 machine.

I'm pretty sure it's Windows 10 is the problem, and no amount of reinstalling drivers will help.

I've never installed the software for either the x52 or x55, so avoid these problems. Do you really need the software? They both wrk fine for me without, and control mappings can just be done in game.

They work worse with the software!

Mine was fine until I installed the software, now some of the buttons have... changed.
