Saitek X-55 Price Reduction???

Saitek currently has the X-55 Rhino HOTAS out of stock, per their website. That, in itself, is not noteworthy.

What is, however, is the curious drop in price. As of right now, the X-55 and X52 Pro are the exact. same. price. At least, they are on the U.S. store ($199.99 USD).

What gives? I see this stick everywhere for $249.99+. eBay, Amazon, literally any other store that might have it in stock is $50+ more expensive than Saitek's own site.

Has anyone purchased this stick recently? What did you pay? Does anyone else think this is either a misprint, or intentional deception on their part?

I'm waiting for the stick to be restocked, and I'm fully expecting that the very SECOND it is back, the price will magically jump to at least $249.99.

By the way, if you happen to work for this company (mad catz / saitek), or have some insight into this, your opinion is most appreciated.

Maybe some of the other sites haven't updated their pricing yet. There seems to have been a price drop across the board...

X52 = $139.99
X52 Pro = 189.95
X55 = 199.95

How reliable is mypilotstore.com? I nearly ordered from them, as there's no indication they're out of stock, like every other store out there. I checked reviews and complaints against them, and one that reoccurred was them allowing the sale of backordered items without notifying the purchaser.

I've ordered from them previously - no problems for me, but there's no harm in asking them if something is in stock :D

Very true, although I have to wait for business hours to do that!

If they have it in stock, and if they are selling for the advertised price, I'll probably grab one.

Still seem strange, though, that even Mad Catz' own site advertises a higher price for the X52 and X52 Pro. Something strange is going on, and I'm hoping it's just some lazy web developer(s) who haven't updated the prices in a while.

Maybe they want to end-of-line the x55 and introduce another higher model instead to compete with Thrustmaster Warthog.

Manufacturers tend to reduce price if they wanna end-of-line something.
