Hardware & Technical Saitek X52 Pro - Light not working ?

Hey Commanders :)

OK so this is my second post.

I have just bought the Saitek X52 Pro from my bro who bought it new and left it on a shelf for 6 months.

Anyway I dusted it off plugged it in and button B will not light correctly.

It will only light Red but it will not light green nor amber.

Also the display on the left hand controller flickers all the time, is there a fix for this ?

I am starting to feel i've been robbed.

Hope someone can help.

Thanks in advance :D

Hi,

That sounds as if you have some bad connections somewhere.

If it is under 2 years it is still under warranty so if you can find the original receipt then return it for replacement.

Light problems with x52's seem to be pretty common, I was reading quite a large threa about them on the RSI forums before I bought mine. A few people mentioned that they fixed their problems by running their x52's through a powered usb hub.
It could just be a bung light aswell, maybe the button got pressed a bit too hard and damaged the little led connection. If it's still under warranty, you could try asking for a replacement.

The display on my throttle flickers sometimes aswell, the only way I've found to fix it is to dosconnect and reconnect the joystick, or go into the control panel and adjust the brightness of the display just a little bit.

Cheers for the reply fellas, really appreciate it.

My bro bought this X52 new 6 months ago and its been sat on the shelf ever since, I bought it off him for a cheeky £60 lol but he doesn't have the box or receipt anymore :(

I have emailed Saitek but I have not had a response so far.

I have also noticed that when looking at the dead zones on the software one of them is twitching, moving fast left and right ever so slightly while the rest are stationary.

Maybe its a dud ? Not sure if this is normal or not, bit disappointed about the button light though, but for the money I guess I can't complain.

Cheers for the advice :)
