Newcomer / Intro Salvage mission: help!

It will be second failed black box mission.
Every time i cannot find quest item location.
"Salvageable wreckage" does not have black boxes, only other stuff.

It's Alpha Centauri. It's entirely possible your mission location is 1 and a half hours away in Proxima Centauri. Mission signal sources normally show up after a Nav Beacon scan but at .21 LY, who knows.

Don't get suckered into doing jobs at Alpha Centauri unless it clearly shows the mission distance, especially if the pay looks too good.

May i ask someone run "black box salvage" mission & explain?

OK I just loaded an alt - flew around to find a BB mission and had no problem with it.

Unfortunately the youtube is stuck on "processing" so can't link it at the moment so here are some screenshots from the video to prove that scanning the nav beacon does work in ED Odyssey: (video now linked at the bottom of this post)

I'll stick up the video if and when the youtube works

Here is the video (HD1440 available):

After closing client, relaunching & scanning beacon for second time - qest point finally appeared.
Idk, some kind of bug.
Will see how it goes.

What is wrong with my game?
Just took 3-rd qest for black box. Nothing after beacon scan.
Take a look.
...

Your game has a pebcak bug: ;)

From your video...

and then you forgot to go to supercruise ...

EDIT - and of course this after I had made a video of a BB mission as you requested and specifically added the text to that video of:

"Elite Dangerous Odyssey - black box mission - scanning the nav beacon to reveal the mission target.

I have tried to illustrate that after scanning the nav beacon the mission signal source is only shown in the Nav panel once you go to supercruise."

So :

1) you didn't bother to pay attention to what I produced at your request and:

2) you didn't have the manners to say thanks or even acknowledge my time.

EDITED for typo
