Anyone do these things? I fancy adding a salvage ship to my fleet. :)

Errr....Nope!?

How you going to tow it back to the station?

I think you get to collect survivors.

I have messed about with them a little. I quite enjoy it as a diversion. I thought the Federal Dropship would actually be a great fit for this line of work in a more dedicated role, as it can fight the occasional ambush for space ones, and yet still handle a good amount of cargo space. It is something I am looking to do more of soon.

Also, if you do the surface ones, the wanted sentry drones you come across can help your naval ranks quite a bit in the right planets too I have found.

I've done a fair bit of space Wombleing, it's a nice relaxing time, and the level of detail up close on the wrecks is jaw dropping.
Black Boxes and Rare Art pay quite well for the surplus collected, commercial samples not so much. But hey, it's 100% profit, so can't knock it.

Make sure you scan it first, and it's wanted. Otherwise (unless it's an anarchy system), there's a real risk that you'll get a fine as you start shooting it. Then, a reward when it's dead. Seems a bit silly, but that's the way it is. So, just scan first, from just outside the perimeter.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I might outfit an Adder as a low-capacity salvage vessel just to try it out. It's mostly for RP purposes. :)
