Ships Salvaged Alloys at Dav's Hope?

I read online that salvaged alloys can be found at Dav's Hope My question is has any CMDR ever found any at Dav's Hope? I made 30 circuits and never found one. I know they are available by destroying combat ships but I am just curious about the Dav Hope availability.

I can't recall that specifically.

But according to this, they only spawn at one of the locations, which just happens to have the greatest variety, lowering each mat's chances of being blessed by RNGesus.

If you really want them, you could just keep re-logging and hitting that one point.

But as always, it may be better to grab what you can and barter for what you need at a mat trader.

If you want to get Salvaged Alloys as quickly as possible, look for an Alliance or Independent system in Boom state with a population - ideally 10 million plus, enter the system, honk with the Discovery Scanner, hit the Full Spectrum Scanner and search out High Grade Emissions signal sites. There will most likely be 3 to 6 Proto Light Alloys & Proto Radiolic Alloys floating in space. Bring a class 3 or 5 collector limpet controller and a stock of limpets. This will give you 9 to 24 Proto Light Alloys & Proto Radiolic Alloys . If you want more , quit to desktop, login again, enter supercruise and locate the unidentified signal source that will be just behind your ship, turn around and drop into that location again and pick up more alloys. You can keep doing this until the timer runs out for the signal source or your stock of Proto Light Alloys and/or Proto Radiolic Alloys is full. Now used eddb.io or Inara to find a manufactured materials trader and trade in 1 Proto Radiolic Alloys for 87 salvaged alloys, or 1 Proto Light Alloys for 27 salvaged alloys.
Unless you enjoy the sport of finding salvaged alloys directly, don't waste you time and do the above.
This video is helpful for materials gathering in general (ignore the unavailable message if you see it and use the link):

Yes, that is the best way I think, trading down in the same category. Good suggestion.

HGE's in general are great for mat trading. I get so many Imperial sheilding for example where I hang out that it's constantly full or nearly so. That makes excellent trade currency.

Yes, there always seem to be a lot of Imperial Shielding units dropped at the HGEs that have them. Best trade those for the dreaded Military Super Capacitors and Pharmaceutical Isolators.

Yes, they are dropped at Davs Hope. They get dropped "random" at the location nearest to the DATA point that you you scan when driving around the base picking up the mats at SPOT 1. Just keep driving around and you will get them... they are not that hard to get from Davs hope. Keep in mind also that you can use a Material Trader station to exchange other mats for Salvaged Alloys

Also, you can just set your system map filter to only show systems in BOOM state and jump from system to system and scan the NAV beacon and then look for any High Grade Signal sources listed and collect the mats from them - as they can be exchanged for pretty much anything else at a Material Trader

That's slow and the hard way. Just jump into the system and head towards the NAV Beacon and scan it when you drop out of supercruise, then all the signal sources when you go back into supercruise again will be listed without you having to do all that with full spectrum scanner, scanning each signal source in turn. And the Nav Beacon is always right near where you jump into each system - so not like you have to fly far to scan it

I used to do it the way you do... until I read about scanning the Nav Beacon
