Hardware & Technical Samsung Ill fold

Not at $2000 it won't.

The live announcement stream was embarrassing for Samsung.
When the guy announced new features, there was palpable buzz in the audience.
When the guy announced the price, there was worse than silence. No handclapping. No cheering. Just a collective intake of breath saying "HOW much?!?" I heard a couple of people low whistling, and a couple saying "Huh?"

Samsung saw Apple increase pricing on their top-end phones and thought they could pitch the Fold as another "luxury" item.
They messed up.

So, it's not as good at being a tablet compared to a tablet. And is twice as bulky as any other phone...Especially considering that phones are already hilariously oversized these days. It's just weird. What exactly is this product.

It's cool, but I'll pass, the standard s10+ looks much more interesting.

I can see the tech potentially making it into tablets/eReaders, but as a phone, I just can't see why you'd bother.

As I said to my contract phone supplier last upgrade...I want a phone that I don't have to purchase a man-bag to carry it around in. I'm a biker...if it don't go in one of the pockets of my cut, it's left on the kitchen table...

Ok Why? Don't try it with your existing phone

Why Samsung’s folding smartphone might prove more than just a fad
With the Galaxy Fold, Samsung has become the first major manufacturer to launch

Its the classic case . We've invented some tech now lets try and find a use for it.

I think it will flop big time. A folding screen is impressive and many people are wowed by it, but not so much so that they will spend a couple of Grand on it.
