Samsung Odyssey G9 49" Monitor and G-Sync Question

Currently using a 34" 3440*140 Alienware monitor. When I build my new PC in February (9800X3D & 4080 Super) I want to get a 5120*1440 monitor and am thinking about the Samsung Odyssey G9 49" monitor with a VA panel.

When this monitor first came out in 2020 it included in the specification that it was G-Sync compatible certified. Now it does not list this in the specification. Is this a valid reason to not buy this monitor?

The Samsung product page still says it is G-Sync compatible. Note that you might not find it in any NVIDIA certification list, most monitors are compatible, but not certified.

It's officially G-Sync Compatible, but there wouldn't be any tangible difference if it wasn't.
