Sandbox Market Decline button / Advanced spawn

In Sandbox mode, you always have 4 animals available for each species. However, I'd like the option to decline an animal and be offered new animals.

For example, I want to start my zoo with gold star animals. Or albinos. Or 100% size. Or any other requirement you might have. The way it works now, is you have to buy tons of animals and keep refreshing the market for a chance at getting the animals you want, all those unwanted animals fill up your animal storage, and then you have to release and sell off all of those animals. This is extremely inconvenient and annoying and can take hours, which is a complete waste of time.

Instead, I'd like a Decline button, so you don't have to fill up your animal storage with tons of animals you don't want.

Alternatively: if there could be a way to let the market spawn animals with certain desired parameters set by the player, that would be absolutely thrilling! I would call this Advanced spawn.

Who is with me?

The animal market in general needs an overhaul. Those endless lists are becoming a nightmare to navigate and to make the biggest list more accassible I gotta work with a ton of smaller lists that are just as annoying and time consuming to navigate...I just want the good old small icons to select species and gender back. Some one actually made a mockup of how it could look like in PZ a while ago I think and it was so much better than what we have now.

And yeah, not even to mention the stats and the constant refreshing in SB if you actually want to get more than two of each gender at once...

Got an image of the mockup?

The whole sandbox market system needs an overhaul.

The scrollbar is nonsense.
The paging system is nonsense.
The timer for a new animal is nonsense...
The search bar makes the scrolling and paging irrelevant though so it's not a huge deal to me.

One thing what would solve many issues is the ability to have a menu for sandbox only that allows you to set the min and max values for genetics like size, fertility etc. A decline button is a good idea too.

Didn't we have the option to search for specific genetic values and then it was taken away for whatever reason? I'd really like to have that back in all the modes...

I don't remember it ever being in Sandbox, but then the genetics never used to be this bad either.

I've advocated for an "animal designer" in Sandbox Mode. There's no real reason not to; just let us literally pick the parameters and produce an animal instantly that fits those parameters. For those who don't want to pick, include a "randomise" option.

Since the most recent update(s) and the terrible quality of the sanbox/Frontier Zoo animals ... i'd be content with a functional refresh button. It makes no sense to have that button and ... it doesn't really work. Even if we didn't get anything else, that'd still improve things. A decline/clear button would too and I don't see how that would require any program changes.

Yes, something has to be done about this non existing refresh-methods in sandbox.
It simply makes no sense to count down fully 10 minutes to the next animal. And even if you log out and decide to play the next day (or the day after....): you log in and you see that you are still stuck with the same animals from yesterday and have to wait for those remaining minutes to tick off. What is the use for it? Just annoying players?
Nearlly everything is customizable in sandbox - but not the time you'll have to waste while waiting for a refresh in animals in the market. :(

So, please, Frontier: Give us a decline-option for each animal or a refresh-button that really refreshes the market. Or an animal-designer. Whatever. But please DO something!

The refresh button does work, it just doesn't work the way we want it to. Once you buy an animal, if you hit refresh it repopulates the market with a replacement instantly. So it has a purpose. The timer is there so that if you see an animal you like, you have time to build a habitat or move things around before you buy it. I assume, at least.

I wouldn't care much about a refreshing method, IF the game /aka Frontier didn't decide that I have to wait fully 10 real life minutes in sandbox for new animals to appear if I don't like the ones in the market. AND that the 10-minutes-countdown just pauses if you pause the game or log out. And even if I could simply buy all the unwanted animals and sell them all immediateIy would be ok for me. But as it is now, it simply makes me furious, because it is just such a WAIST OF MY TIME! If you play in sandbox, you have your game in pause-mode very often. Guess, what it's like, if you want the game to put new animals in the market.

In fact, this is negating the whole idea of a sandbox, in which everything should be customizable.

You don't have to wait - you can just buy the animals and then sell them again, and refresh the market after each purchase. It's still tedious but it's disingenious to say you're forced to wait.

True, but they meant the way Frontier aims for you to play. Buying and reselling is a work around but was not Frontiers Intention, so regarding that: yes, we are "forced" by Frontier to wait.

What's so annoying with the buying and reselling method is, that you often get sick animals that you can't resell and have to put into quarantine first.

Plus, some of us actually do play with money and CC on, even in sandbox. The method doesn't work then.
