Sandbox not unlocked

I have started a sandbox game on the ps5, however a lot of dinosaurs and buildings etc seem to be locked, I was on the understanding you could start off with everything available. I have research, scientists and expeditions all switched off, why isn't everything available?

Hey Jaybee!

If Research and Expeditions are all set to OFF in Sandbox Mode, then all dinosaurs and buildings should be unlocked by default. Could you please double check the Sandbox Settings, or try starting a new map with the "Creative" preset.

Hi thanks for your reply, I have played with the settings and now I have extra buildings available. I'm not sure about dinosaurs, how do I actually place dinosaurs into my park, I can't find an option anywhere?

You have to place down at least a Hatchery and an Arrival Point first and connect the two with a path.

I also highly recommend keeping the Creative Preset Sandbox options on (or at least the 10% Task Time, No Incubation Failure, and Instant Build options), adding the Accelerated Growth upgrade to the Hatchery, building a Response Facility and a Paleo-Medical Facility, and speeding up time. The Sandbox options, Accelerated Growth upgrade, and sped up time will allow you to create dinosaurs much more quickly and without failure. The Response Facility will allow you to tranquilize and move dinosaurs. Sometimes, dinosaurs will wander too far away from food and water sources or glitch out and stop eating or drinking. This will cause their health to decrease so having a Paleo-Medical Facility on hand is always nice. Carnivores will cause other dinosaurs to panic so you'll need to build fences between certain dinosaurs.
