Sandbox Settings in JWE2

After seeing some gameplay with the Sandbox Settings, they're mostly all carried over from JWE1, which is good. Although there are two notable missing options.

The first is the obvious one that's been noticed by most people playing early and those watching. "Combat Frequency" which for those unaware, had three settings, Maximum, Normal, and Off. This controlled how often dinosaurs would fight, if at all. Given how Dinosaurs fight over everything now, and with how Pack Hunting is... it would be nice to be able to turn off the combat for Sandbox, to be able to not have to worry about animals fighting due to territory or any other reason. Although this time, turning off combat doesn't affect hunting goats.

The other is "Infinite Feeders". With Herbivores not needing feeders anymore, it makes some sense, but Carnivore and Piscivore Feeders are still implemented. So are we still going to have to continually refill those feeders in sandbox?

I would like more control over my weather with sandbox settings as well cuz I feel like we need more control so this way we can make movie scenes with rain or any other weather we want for our dinosaurs. Can't make good YouTube videos without some drama involving weather.

Long Lasting Weather:
This Function is so Weather can last for a long while depending on how long you want your Rain, Snow, and Severe storms to last as long as you want in Sandbox.
EXAMPLE: 10 Minutes, 15 Minutes, 20 Minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, 6 hours, 12 hour's, 24 hour's.

I was thinking the same. But if you turn off combat the whole site B thing is going to get boring. The carnivores would have to hunt other dinosaurs for food. But they seem to go on killing sprees again. I don't think just turning it off would be a good idea. By that I mean the devs just turning it off for sandbox since it's part of the more dynamic and natural AI and animations. But so far all I have seen is people put other dinosaurs in enclosures with raptors and other small carnivores. I don't know how they would act in open situation where they can go where they want.

Since there are no wild fish in the game you would have to put down feeders for those animals that feed on fish exclusively. Maybe they can make wild fish an option in the sandbox. Like if you put down any water or if water exists on the map then there will be fish in it. But I think they can only eat fish from the feeders. There are no animations for animals hunting fish naturally. Only for getting them from feeders.

The option to turn off combat was available in the first game. Taking it away for this game seems like a step back. Plus, if you want dinosaurs to kill one another, you can just leave combat on since it's a toggle option. However, since this was already available in the first game, I think that the option should at least be available to players.

Another setting I would like to see is a fog or mist setting. So we can have the fog or mist effect that is said to happen in on the new maps. I would really like to have this happen as part of the weather on Sorna and Nublar for both JW and JP. They can make it an option you can turn off and on.

You can turn off dinosaur starvation, which will then eliminate the need for Feeders entirely :)

But Jens, it would no longer seem realistic if the dinos no longer eat. Tbh, it would be better if Infinite Feeders were a thing, to make the dinos more realistic if they hunt or eat, all the while not having to worry about refilling the feeders in sandbox.

It's basically the same thing as having Invincible Jeeps when we can just turn off Dino Aggression.

I've heard that the aviary won't be usable in the JP era. Despite being usable in the last game, the aviary appearing in JP3 and being a planned (albeit unfinished) attraction in the original novel. Please tell me that this is addressed in the day one patch.

I would also like a option in sandbox to turn off ailment’s as well since they can be pretty annoying to deal with every time a Dino gets into a fight.

I tried to make a Site B style park, where I placed the dinosaurs and food and then I deleted all the buildings and paths. It looked beautiful, but I soon realized all my dinosaurs required status checks and I had no way to monitor their condition.

I suppose that’s realistic (there’s nobody to monitor the dinosaurs if you have no employees ) but it would be nice to be able to continue to see the dinosaurs’ stats without need for status checks in sandbox. Otherwise, Site B parks aren’t really possible.
