Satellites ?

This is new - well, for me. I dropped into an Embedded USS very close to Jameson Memorial and came across a "satellite." Scanning it resulted in one of those firmware data types. There was no other description of the device, but it was very close to the station, less than 10,000 km.

Is this something new for 2.1, or have I just not noticed them before?

Voyager 1 & 2 were added mid-space in Sol but yours is in orbit?

No, this was not one of the Voyagers. This was in the Shinrarta Dezhra system. It didn't have a dish or anything, but it sure looked as if it was oriented perpendicular to Jameson Memorial - like it was observing the station.
