Saturn's rings

Hi all , just jumped into Sol (thats a rarity) and wandered over to Saturn

Is it me.. or are Saturn's rings smaller than they appear in the usual NASA photos?

Bill

Rings should evolve with time, Saturns rings are likely decaying (they are formed due to the theoretical Roche limit) So Saturn + 1300 years... yeah probably look different

Yes, they've always seemed less expansive to me too.

And Jupiter's rings seem several orders of magnitude larger than they ought to be. Don't get me started on that.

I was going to make a "rings-around-Uranus" joke, but since I don't have a Sol permit, it wouldn't be as much fun. And since I don't have a Sol permit, I can't comment on the rings around Saturn either.. haven't seen 'em.
