not sure what your question is.

is it what pc specs are required to run photo realistic graphics at the same level as the movie Saturns Rings

or are you asking what specs are required to run elite dangerous with photo realistic graphics?

Im just asking if the game graphics will have as much detail and look as realistic as those in the trailer.

I wasnt expecting a detailed discussion on pc specs, more how much realism r Frontier going to aim for...

Wouldn't count on it being that detailed... but if they manage to pull this off, then i won't be able to pick up my jaw from the ground the whole next year...

ED isn't real :eek: you could have broken that to me more gently :D

but to be brutally honest CGI can get damn close to the photos shown in that trailer.

True, but its a nice selling point to say real images of our universe r woven into the fabric of the game :)

That said, all i want is something which looks stunning, and when u can turn it up to max on your PC it looks even more jawdropping :eek:

I beleive that the texture packs are modable... so you can have your own simpsons ED with Bart heads floating in space...

WAIT that could just be in my head!!!

Remember planets etc. are generated producedurally and this might also be the case for the textures (might be using some base textures), so you would probably only have this for known celestial bodies like saturn, mars etc.

Wow. Marvelous video and the soundtrack is awesome. Space the final frontier. :) Whats amazing about us humans, is what starts as fantasy in the end becomes real, our consiousnes and creativity merges with time and cosmos and creates a reality which is only limited by our imagination.

Agreed - produce the game with a 2020 computer in mind ;)

ETA: or produce the best u can now in the time allowed and one of the future addon packs is an engine / texture pack upgrade.
