Saud Kreuger Manta Ray

Saud Kreuger has sadly fallen behind on the galactic stage of late. Once considered the pinnacle of luxury transit, they are now seen as little more than tour buses. It's time for them to retake their name on the galactic stage.

To achieve this, I present...the Manta Ray. The pinnacle of modern design, this Large craft combines excellent firepower with speed, agility, and jump range, finally offering a true new addition to the Big Three.

Saud Kreuger Manta Ray
Class: Large
Max Boost Speed: 485
Thruster Performance: Worse rotation, pitch, and yaw than the Corvette, but MUCH better vertical thrust. Slower than the Cutter, but substantially more agile.
Max Jump Range(Fully Laden): 75.5ly (53ly)
Cargo Capacity: 726
Internals: 2x Class 7, 4x Class 6, 2x Class 5, 1x Class 4, 4x Class 3, 2x Class 1
Hardpoints: 3x Huge, 3x Small
(2x huge on the wings, 1 huge beneath the cockpit, 3x smalls arrayed around the cockpit.)
Core Internals: Class 8 FSD, Class 7 Distributor, Class 8 Thrusters
SCO OPTIMIZED!

This ship offers a perfect combination of speed, combat, and cargo hauling capability. While slower than the Cutter at short-range hauling, and less potent overall than the Corvette at combat, the combo of various traits, especially it's extremely potent performance in gravity wells thanks to its extremely powerful vertical thrusters, allows it to create its own niche amidst the new world created by the Trailblazers Initiative.

This, of course, justifies its impressive cost, coming in at a premium 250,000,000 credits.

So far we ended up not getting a Saud Kreuger medium passenger liner.

They will be forgiven if it's because all their R&D budget went into a beauty like this.

I've been calling for the 'Narwhal' for some time now. My initial suggestion was that, what became the C5, would be a sea mammal inspired passenger ship, with the c5 FSD-SCO friendly design. I still lay claim to having called it, only maybe a little early.

Free the Narwhal!
