Save and quit - Legit mechanism

Whoever thought in the development process, that instead of regular Progression bars for each rank, and some explenation to those stupid Arrows Up and Arrows down that randomly appear - that it's a good idea to simply force ppl save and quit for several hours, ruining the game, or make them grind for months because you're completely incapable of explaining any mechanics or making the missions actual mean something

Main complaints: Save and quit logic, Do you want more missions on the same station? Save and quit, change from Online to Solo, repeat for hours and see you 1 rank, enjoy
No explenation for Arrows UP and Arrows DOWN to Empire, Federation, and minor factions
No progression bars, percentage any indicator for Empire and Federation standing
No icon of fed or empire in Bulletin Board next to minor factions

Instead of focusing on such basic elements of the game, devs add new set of ranks that require even more grind, and we can ofc expect new ships being locked behind these ranks
You won't even be able to try the ship but you'll already know that it will take you months to get it, due to grind for money and rank requirement

System of Save and quit is the most iritating thing I have seen in any game yet, it destroys the game itself, and how comes that Nobody, nobody bloody says thing against this, that you don't stop by and say NO, I don't want to save and quit, NO I wanna be able to see my progression with Empire and Feds, NO I don't want any nothing saying arrows, NO I want missions that actualy make sense

You seem very unpleased with the game, I feel for you, I really do.
As for me, I don't even look at those arrows, They add nothing to my game sessions so I don't care. You should try it sometimes.

What if I told you ... your are not alone and there are indeed other players who complain against this?

But yes, just dropped from allied to friendly with the federation even though i was all the time undermining in imperial territory and always supporting the federation. Well, noone knows the logic behind it but hey, it also applies for the "wanted" system! You lose your bounty after just 7 days, so you are clean after just one week!
 
Or being allied with all 3, then just allied with the Federation, flying into the adjoining Fed system, seeing that you're now friendly with the Feds, then going back into the previous system and then being allied again. The mind boggles.
 
I have no idea what those arrows mean. I have no idea what my standing with any factions means for me. I do think the game could do better at clarifying these aspects and at having a proper mission structure around them.

Noone's forcing you to do anything. In my last couple of hundred hours playing, I've only selected "SAVE AND QUIT" when I've logged off to end playing.

If you enjoy doing that - more power to you, go for it. If you don't enjoy it - do something else.

The up arrow means it's increasing, the down arrow means it's decreasing. There's an explanation for you.

Allied > friendly > neutral > unfriendly > hostile

That's a progressing bar - perhaps not as fine grained as you'de like, but *shrug*

Ah yes, another power play complaint. If you don't like it - don't do it. Those of us that do enjoy it will do so and we'll all (you and us) be happier for concentrating on things we enjoy.

You won't even be able to try the ship but you'll already know that it will take you months to get it, due to grind for money and rank requirement

Usually in the forum I see complaints that there's a lack of content once you've played for a bit. Now you're complaining that there's things you can't get to till putting in some play-time. Grind is a state of mind. You either enjoy activities or not. Remember that to do missions for a major faction, you can be doing bounty hunting, trading, piracy, mining, charity, salvage or mercenary actions - quite a range to choose from.

There's no "system of save and quit". If anything, you're exploiting an unintended possibility by using it the way you are. No skin off my nose if you want to do that, what assets or enjoyment you have in game doesn't impact my enjoyment.

But if you don't like restarting the game over and over - just don't do it.

If you don't like it, then change the game. Play something else. It is a Developer's will and you are powerless here.
