Save configurations for ships and swap at will

No idea if this has been suggested before.

So, we have 40 slots for ships.
We now have expanded module storage.

Maybe I don't want to buy 3 Pythons just to configure as dedicated mining ship, PVE Bounty Hunter, or a big yellow bus to run Robigo criminals as a passenger service.

Maybe I just want one.
I'd like to enter the outfitting service and save/restore outfitting configurations for my ship/s for multiple roles.
If I have the modules locally, great, everything happens within, say 1 or 2 minutes, I can live with that....fully outfitted ship without the need to save/remove/sell then replace each module one at a time.
If I have the modules but some are remote, then they will be automatically brought to he local station/FC and fitted....sure this could take an hour or more and be dependant on where the modules are currently stored...I can also live with that.
If I have inadvertantly sold or otherwise disposed of a module, this is popped up on screen as a "partial outfit" and lists the missing modules.

Also, livery, have an option to save/restore the livery with the outfitting configuration.

Another thing while I'm at it...I understand the mechanic of the game auto-installing a base level module when storing/selling (not swapping) the existing module, but...why can't we opt out of this and have a ship missing modules?
I spend an inordinate amount of time trolling through my stored modules and selling off E rated modules I'll never ever use.

Keen to hear other commander's thoughts.
