FD we need all the profits From ED to make a time machine, to go back in time and prevent the cancellation of FlyFire

Sorry, I have to go with no. It's perfect just the way they left it. I don't expect to see anything that well done ever again.

If it had gone longer it probably would have eventually become formulaic and trite. As it is, it's a one of a kind, never to be seen again.

Cherish it for the rare gem that it is and leave well enough alone.

But I need to know Shepherd Books backstory!!!

There is a lot of enthusiasm for Firefly and I really tried to get into it. I failed and I have no idea why. Perhaps I should try again.

Watched all of it, binge watching from episode 1 right through the movie several times. The more I thought about it, the more I realized it's like a work of art that will stand alone just as it is.

It's a one of a kind. Too many good things go beyond what they've achieved and go downhill from their peak. This didn't do that. The movie wrapped it up nicely and left some questions unanswered, but I'd rather that than see the work become trivial trying to maintain it's unique character. Each episode was unique and if there was an episodic formula, I never picked up on that as you do with most TV series after the 2nd episode.

It's a rare gem from a secret mine. Be happy it was shared - we will not see that mine again or find another gem like it.

I'd rather stop the cancellation of Babylon 5 tbh.

Well, firefly was a great show, and had some continuation, but that cancelled too. To think its comes back for second time, as a series? a Movie perhaps.

Babylon 5? I loved it, but be honest! That story had a beginning and end lasted as long what the story needs, so as Battlestar Galactica. To continue any of it? I'm not sure I'ts a good idea.

I personally thought the enthusiasm was because of Joss Whedon's reputation (from Buffy, yey) and the lack of decent Sci-Fi of any kind on the telly at the time. I watched about half of Firefly and wasn't impressed at any point :(

I rewatched Firefly and Serenity just a few weeks ago. I'd give several people's first born children (can't give mine, wife is attached to them) to play ED in a Firefly universe.

Nah, I adore Firefly (though years after it ended, sadly. I never had a TV service that aired it first time around), but leave the past where it is. That show was a one-off, and a perfect [creative] storm. I suppose Joss could find other stories to tell with an older collection of characters, but I'm fine with what we have.

Have you watched anything else by Joss Whedon, particularly his TV stuff?
