saved games

Are saved games located on the clients computer or server side?
I tried to launch the game several times in a row and got an exe error every time
I couldnt uninstall the game in control panel (it doesnt show up, only the launcher shows up there) so I permanently deleted the 2 frontier developments folders.

Reinstalling the game now.

1) I hope the game launches now when its installed
2) I REALLY hope the save games are server side so I can continue where I left off

Can anyone let me know where the save games are located?

(Its private group multiplayer save)

Pilot save state is saved server side to stop people editing them manually as far as I'm aware.

Seems normal for the security. Imagine if your hard disk is broken. Or if someone steals your computer. Or if you want to play on another computer etc ...

Saves and stats are server side but controls etc is on your computer.
I always have a backup of my key bindings so I don't have to remap them if something unexpected should happened.

i would have thought that at launch singleplayer offline saves will be on your pc, or will they also be client side??

Well on that we can only speculate

but my guess is, since its offline, it will be saved on your computer, like any other single play games we play.

Online, server side.
Offline on your computer.
