Saw a rumor that the game might go to a Real World Economy someday like Entropia, here's how to do it.

Not saying its true, but if they were considering it then a few things would definitely hold them back. Number 1...too much money already in game, trying to covert all that to real money instantly would bankrupt the game and close the doors, so that's not possible. The amount on Entropia that you can take out of the game has to be at least 1000 ped, which is only 100 dollars US, 10% of the game money. The game also gets taxes for allowing this so that goes down a bit more. anyone who wants to play under those rules would need a new character, using some high powered 10 year old character with a billion in cash would never do. of course if you did it once for fun doing it again for cash would be a great incentive. it might become a nice part time job, if the rules set up were followed and no cheats were allowed. cheats and exploits ruin things for others, and should be an instant ban from gaming, in multiplayer at least. So cheats and exploits of any kind would end their new character instantly, and they would never be allowed in that part of the game again.

A "game" where you can buy pretty much everything for real money. Up to entire island and building for an exorbitant prices (up to hundred of thousands dollar).
IMO, it's a glorified pyramid scheme.

Oh, thanks for clarifying that I was apparently spot on.

Cool story bro. Never ever.

You can't say "I heard a rumour" when you just made it up.

Ah but next time he posts a thread on Reddit he now has a link he can post to the rumour source, this thread, then he can start a new thread and post the source of the rumour as the thread on reddit posting about the rumour that came up on the ED forums....it's a rumour mill I tell you. Next thing you know the devs will be posting denying the rumour is true and off we go on the gaming blogs......."ED to be a real world money game by Christmas 2021."
