Hello everyone!

After research I managed to find something really interesting, the official (relatively new) concepts of a small ship (of the size of a fighter) dedicated specifically to mining.

Apparently this little mining ship is called "The Maw" and its Manufacturer is the "Lakon Spaceways".

The ship seems to be equipped with a dedicated storage (6 Tons) & refinery, it can supports the control of Limpet Drone (8) and it is equipped with an innovative mechanical drilling system composed of two mining drills (the two drills could be extended and oriented maybe).

From the text on the images it would seem that the mechanical drills are also detachable and that the mining drills offer a higher yield than the common mining lasers.

Another factor of great interest is the presence of landing gear designed to keep the ship anchored to large asteroids in order to facilitate mining operations.

I think that I was the first commander who found this unpublished material ... what do you think this material is? Old and obsolete concepts, or a look at the future of mining that we will have in Q4 2018?

Yes it is, the main problem is that I do not know when that material was done... it is online from 3 months but I am not sure of when it was commissioned and created.

I'm not sure if this is a rather sweet bit of trickery or not... (Where would you scrape such a thing from? Pre-prepped oficial urls? Source please :))

But just running with it...

Actually attaching to the asteroid would be intriguing, and could up the skill ante. I've wondered how the Q4 explosive results were really going to bring the pain...

But if you're actually attached to it at the time... (With rumbles alongside readings your only guide for survival) that could be getting somewhere... :)

It seems vaguely DBX-flavoured from the top shot. It'd be nice if it's not some 2011 concept art. In a spaceship game more spaceships is always a good thing.

@Golgot: I'm glad that this material attracts your attention ... and if those drills on the ship were also used to make a hole in the asteroid in order to possibly place an explosive charge to make the rock explode?
