Newcomer / Intro SCA not working correctly

Probably a question suited to this forum as it's a basic module everyone can have.

Since entering Colonia (althoug I doubt that is the reason!), my supercruise assist is acting up.

En route to, say, a station, everyhting is fine as is cruising to a planet. When the target is reached, SC is dropped as normal. However, when I enter a system from hyperspace, the ship just starts accelerating even though I get the message the assist has engaged.

I've tried a reboot/repair, exiting the game, mode switching etc. It's not a power issue as the ship(s) were working fine before. The module is properly active. This is the case for all ships I have equipped with the module.

I know I'm missing the bleeding obvious here but something is nagging "bug" at me.

Any ideas?

Using a HOTAS? If so, it's possible that there's some noise on the throttle, so if you enter the system with the throttle on "full" from when you initiated the jump, the SCA will kick in initially, then get overridden by the throttle. Just spitballing here. Also, check your right Ship panel to see if you've set the SCA wrong. Something something "override", I think. Haven't used SCA in forever, so my memory is a bit vague on that.

I'll check, thanks.

Not using a HOTAS and it seems strange to have kicked in without me changing anything.

Ah, the vagueness of piloting a spaceship in the 34th century...

There is an option in the Ship panel of the RHS UI - I don't use SCA but I think it is an option like Hyperspace Dethrottle. Also, does the Autothrottle SCA setting (same page) affect this?
