Scaled AI bounty responses

So, just now due to an accidental shot fired a fraction of a second before my scanner showed that my target was wanted, I gained a bounty. While surrounded by a dozen or more system security ships. I had to run as fast as I could to get out of their, in a partially outfitted anaconda with a 8.6million credit insurance cost... over a 515cr bounty. In the end, I had to bounce through 3 systems before managing to get to one I could land and pay the bounty without getting killed. I even seemingly was being chased by an AI python bounty hunter?! That communication panel pop-up may have been a fluke though...

Even so, an accidental shot, and a mere 515 credit bounty, should NOT nearly cost me close to 9 million credits mere seconds after it was accrued.

Perhaps some AI bounty response scaling? Or even a chance to pay off a bounty that small without getting chased through 3 systems over it...

I proposed an idea just recently which would allow the player to address this issue. I asked for it in a RES site, but in principle it could apply almost anywhere.

That might work for a pirate, but I'm a bounty hunter. I have no desire to kill off the security forces. Generally they save me a lot of time and effort collecting on bounties. I can take my targets on my own, but it takes a lot longer. I would rather just be able to restore friendly status. I'd rather respond to an accidental shot by saying "Oops, didn't mean to fire that early sir, here's the fine payment, now lets go back to hunting as friends"

Heck, when they're shooting a target already, It'd be nice if they broadcast his wanted status so I didn't need to wait for a scan, or just didn't fine me for shooting a target they're already pelting.

I would've said that the Crime & Punishment issues could have solved this problem, but at the moment with the threads closed on it, all we can do is wait to see how they're approaching it and whether this is going to be addressed, if at all.
