Does scan angle affect the targeting arc of gimbals?

If the answer is yes, what are combat pilot's thoughts on the reduction in the tracking arc?

No links for proof, but no. Have reduced scan angle on one of my pve ships, no difference. Emissive still seems to improve the firing cone though. Or it could be the placebo effect. No clue with all the drugs lol...
