Scan Megaships in Reinforcement Systems

I assume I'm doing something wrong...
The power task is to :Scan Megaships in Reinforcement Systems" - I need 9 scans. I'm pledged to Jerome Archer. The objective is "Scan 9 megaships in Reinforcement systems"

1. I went to Sirius which has a "Stronghold Carrier" surrounded by other megaships. The Stronghold Carrier was aligned with a power different to Jerome Archer (it is Li Yong-Rui and is Li Yong-Rui reinforcing). When looking at the "Contacts" tab, I saw 5 data-links popped up, without needing to scan any megaships. I was able to target and scan each one and received 120 merits each. The five scans did not show up in the "Transactions" tab (i.e. 1/9, 2/9 etc). I was able to log off to the desktop, rejoin, and scan some more (I scanned one and was chased off by an NPC); another 120 merits but no progress on the Transaction tab

2. I went to the Tz Arietis system. TZ Arietis is a Jerome Archer strongold and is "reinforcing". There is a Stronghold Carrier there, with more megaships. Looking at the Contacts tab, no data-links popped up. I was not able to target any megaships and scan, hoping for the data-link(s) to pop up in the Contacts "Target" sub pad - no luck.

3. I went to the Duamta system (Jerome Archer reinforcing) to the megaship Orunmilla - again, could not target and scan and could not get the "data-links" traget to pop up

I have lots of experience with "Scan Megaships" missions, so I think I know what I'm doing. So, either I need to try megaships in "non-Jerome Archer reinforcing" (although I think that's what I did in para 1 above) - or maybe the thing doesn't work as far as the weekly power play assignment goes.

I'm having a similar problem with the "Sell Exploration Data" assignment but, one thing at a time....

"Megaships" in this assignment refers to the things like "LSG-482 James Class Bulk Hauler": the various non-dockable megaship types. Exactly the same as the ones you'd get for the Scan Megaships missions (indeed, if you take one of those missions, you can do the mission and get merits at the same time).

"Reinforcement Systems" means "your own Power's Reinforcement Systems", so any Jerome Archer system with the exception of Nanomam.

I'm having a similar problem with the "Sell Exploration Data" assignment

The rebalancing of exploration data post-release hasn't really come through properly to the weekly assignments yet. You need to sell mapped ELWs, AWs or terraformable WWs specifically to get exploration merits, and therefore to complete the assignments. (There may be other issues, too)

Thanks - that works ! It helps that I also found this filter "Bulk Cruiser (Scannable megaship)" in Inara. - Again, thanks a lot!!

Having the same problem with exploration data here…..I posted and received a similar response. Looking forwards to weekly missions being clarified. I’m pledged to J. Archer too…..seems a less than popular choice with groups on this forum!
