General Scan resistant cargo containers

Good day commanders,

I would like to see the introduction of scan resistant cargo containers for smuggling missions among other things.
Currently when you dock at a planet base you get no warning of being scanned and just get a fine sometimes. Then you need to relog into the game to clear the fine because it is not there until you relog.

If we could have a community goal that introduces heavily lined cargo containers that prevent scanning it would be amazing. The CG would be completed by smuggling certain goods to a station.
As a reward that station would then sell cargo containers with the same capacity but are heavier as to protect them from scanning.

Best regards,
Metalstorm

How about shielded cargo container drawing power from ship with lower cargo capacity but with ability to return scan result chosen by pilot (so for example contraband would appear like hydrogen). This could be also useful in mining and trading... if NPC pirates would be not greedy enough to attack ship with hydrogen on board (which is the case now, it is a bit silly) or could be used by pirate hunters to simulate having expensive cargo on board as a lure.

The game already has a method for avoiding being scanned. I use a Python set up to produce less than 20% heat at idle and heatsinks if necessary. You can't be scanned if sys sec can't lock on to you.

Prior to engineering my ships I just used silent running and popped a heatsink if things started to get silly.

No need for this to change - as I probably said in one or more of the previous iterations of this thread, like

I'm also using Python with very low heat generation but while it works in space sometimes I get scanned while being on landing pad, just before handling missions- try to avoid that:)
